The Minnesota Dachshund Club ("MDC"), founded in 1945, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the improvement and welfare of the Dachshund breed. Our members participate in a wide variety of activities with our Dachshunds: conformation shows, obedience trials, earth dog tests, field trials, tracking trials, and Canine Good Citizen tests and therapy dog work. The Club is licensed by The American Kennel Club ("AKC") to hold these events under AKC rules.
Our 2012 Field Trials will again be at the Northern Illinois Beagle Grounds in Roscoe, IL. This year, our Trials will be Sunday and Monday, October 7th and 8th, as part of the Harvest Moon Classic, a cluster of eight trials running from October 5th through the 14th.
In addition, MDC will sponsor two Earthdog Tests on Tuesday, October 9th
